Commission meetings are held on a regular basis and all commission meetings are open to the public.  To ensure that the voices of our community are heard, there is public forum available at the start of every commission meeting.  Also, we post approved minutes from every meeting so everyone can learn about what was discussed.  You'll find minutes below.

"Commissioner".  Your New Title?

We currently have the following Commissioners on the Clark Street SSA slate:

Chairman: Bruce Longanecker, Lincoln Park Market

Vice Chairman: Piegi Jean-Blanc, Resident

Treasurer: Elizabeth Rossdeutscher, Bank Financial

Secretary: Steve Quick, Steve Quick Jeweler

Commissioner: Cathy Gallanis, Chicago Pizza and OvenGrinder

Commissioner: Jim Kroeger, Lincoln Park Fitness

Commissioners have three annual recommendation responsibilities for the commission: the levy rate for the annual budget, the program manager, and the work plan comprising items from a list of authorized services.   When there is a vacancy on the commission, it is made public and applications are solicited.  The Alderman, the community, and LPCC all gather feedback about the applicants, a nominating committee reviews the applications and suggests a slate of commissions, and the Alderman and mayor approve the slate.  Interested in learning more?  Contact us and we can help you; we can also connect you to members of the current commission.
